We welcome visitors, whether you are interested in adoption or just want to learn more about us. Hunterdon Humane Animal Shelter is open 7 days a week, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We are located at 576 Stamets Road, Milford, NJ.

Shelter Directions from Rt. 78 east or west:
    Get off at exit 15. At the light at the end of the ramp, turn left. You will be on Rt. 513. Proceed for approximately four miles into Pittstown. Then make a right turn after the restaurant to continue on 513. Go another four miles, past two schools, and make a right just before the white church onto Rt. 519 (see map below). Go a mile and a half into the village of Mt. Pleasant. When you pass the general store, make the first left onto Stamets road and then another left into our driveway.

Our Thrift Shop:
    We also operate a thrift shop, which is open from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM during the week, and from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM on Saturdays. All proceeds go to HHAS.  Phone: 996-2099

It is a NEW JERSEY STATE LAW that a dog’s Rabies Vaccination must be valid through the whole year of 2008. Licenses CANNOT be issued for any dog whose shot expires BEFORE Nov. 1, 2008.
Application will be returned. Any questions, please call your veterinarian.

Licenses are subject to renewal in January 2008. Fees are as follows:

Through February 29, 2008 fees are as follows
$8.00 for Spayed/Neutered Dogs
$11.00 for Unspayed/Unneutered Dogs

As of March 1st State Mandatory Late Fees are as follows:
$13.00 for Spayed/Neutered Dogs
$16.00 for Unspayed/Unneutered Dogs

2008 Dog License Application can be obtained at the Holland Township Municipal Building or Online.           

License can also be obtained in person:
1) TUESDAYS ONLY from 10:00am to 12:00 Noon @ Holland Hills Kennel *42 Crabapple Hill Road.
2) NO EXCEPTIONS! License will not be issued at any other time!
