The Construction Code Enforcement officer is available at the Municipal Building on Tuesdays only from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon 908-995-4836.
Other times you may call 908-713-0722 during business hours to schedule a building inspection.
The Construction Official is the chief administrator of the enforcing agency, responsible for administering and enforcing the provisions of the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code. He is responsible for coordinating the work of the office staff, subcode officials, and inspectors.
The Construction Official reviews and issues all construction permits, signs all violation notices, releases certificates of occupancy, and retains all applicable records. He is also responsible for preparing the annual budget to ensure the proper operation of the department.
The Construction Official oversees the operation of the following personnel:
- Building Subcode Official
- Electrical Subcode Official
- Fire Subcode Official
- Plumbing Subcode Official
- Technical Assistant
