Dear Holland Township Resident:

The new sewer rate increase of $320 annually is due to the Township’s increased costs that are incurred from Milford. Milford has made major improvements to the sewer plant that is mandated by the state and Holland Township is responsible for 50% of those costs. Our sewer rate has not been increased in over 20 years but our costs have continued to increase. We realize this is a large increase in the sewer rate, however, it averages out to less than $5 per year when you consider this is the first rate increase in more than 20 years.
